Day 110: Don't cry over spilled bokeh

The saying "Don't cry over spilled milk." is said to come from celtic lore. The belief was that fairies would be attracted to a house in which they found some of their favorite foods. While the fairies enjoy honey, wine, bread and fruit, milk is their favorite. So if someone spilled milk it was okay because it would be a welcome meal for the fairies.

Well in our house the fairy we are most familiar with is the Disney version of Tinkerbell. And Tinkerbell is known for using pixie dust to make things fly. Today's photo is some spilled pixie dust that will hopefully be put to good use by fairies or any other creature that happens upon it. A lot of folks I know right now could use a little help to fly.

This is a repeat of a quote from an earlier posting. My friend Stephoni reminded me of its appropriateness for what we are experiencing this week.

When you come to the edge of all the light you have known, and are about to step out into darkness, Faith is knowing one of two things will happen -- there will be something to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.

  • I did not know fairies loved milk! I love this, and will use it with the kids when that milk spills. (which I am sure will not be too long from now.)
