Day 184: Postcards

Today we ventured out of our igloo and Jenna and I accompanied Lori to the store believing that there would be some who thought a thrift store outing is the perfect cure for cabin fever. I had my camera with me and decided to venture out for some post-storm photos. As I approached our campus, the sun was breaking thru the clouds and the mixture of red bricks, blue sky and snow was not at all umpleasant. Bresee Hall has been the signature landmark of our campus for all my years in Bethany. I can remember as a teenager having postcards from BNC (now SNU) with this very building prominently displayed. So as I framed today's photo I saw a postcard that had to be shared.

So for all my friends and family from other parts of our country, GREETINGS FROM BETHANY this is SNOW STORM 2010.

  • I actually saw you guys on Rockwell around 11:45 .... we were turning to go sledding at Eldon Lyon, and you were continuing straight. I wondered if you were headed to the store. :)
That's a great photo of the college. I suppose in a day or two when it starts to warm up and melt, it won't be near as pretty. Good for you for finding a few minutes of sunshine yesterday and taking advantage. :)
